Categories:   South Coast Shipwrecks

The ‘Sydney Morning Herald’ of 11.3.1844 included the following:
‘LOSS OF THE CUTTER ‘ROSE' - News have been received in Sydney of the loss of this vessel at Broulee. The accident occurred from her running foul of the cutter Harriett, and before they could be cleared, both vessels had drifted ashore. The latter has since been got off with little damage, but the Rose has gone to pieces.’

There was no loss of life.
